Renegade is independently owned and operated by April—a lifelong reader who is really just three caffeine-addicted possums in a fuzzy bathrobe.

April joined the online book community in 2016 and has been a long time book collector herself. She's a notorious mood reader, sticker hoarder, and art fanatic. When she's not in the Renegade office listening to true crime documentaries or rewatching Bob's Burgers, April loves to nap, play Stardew Valley, and send memes to her two teenagers (who ignore them, but that doesn't stop her).

Renegade Romance started as, and has continued to be, a true passion project. It began with the overwhelming desire to shine a light on the extraordinary, wondrously weird, brilliant stories that hide out in this niche subgenre and supporting (and fangirling over) the talented authors who write them.

Renegade still features aliens and monsters, but now also showcases other romances that include shifters, vampires, demons, and more!

After 4 years, Renegade continues to evolve and grow in their celebration of queerness and diversity within this niche. A space where everyone is encouraged to embrace both their cute and spicy sides.
